March.

So in March I didnt post anything so Im pretty much going to sum up the whole month.
Well early in the month I took Sarah for a photo shoot. She turned 2. Can you believe it!? My baby turned 2! The photo shoot turned out great we had some awesome pictures! Once we had the pictures, like we planned drove down to Brownsville to spend Spring Break with family and to have her birthday party down there...But before I took a road trip from Houston to Brownsville with my Sarah, my cousin Jeamileth, my cousin Maury, my brother Agus and his dog, I stayed in Houston because it was my BFF Beatrice's birthday! It was going to be at Drink Houston, a club... I had never been.
It was a crazy day/night! I had stayed up all night before the actual party talking to Brandon on the phone... just because I knew that I would be super busy in the next few days, traveling and such that it would be hard to talk. So I woke up at like 4 pm on Saturday... yeah crazy.. I know. But I got up ate did my thing... then I went over to Beatrice's to borrow some shoes... I hadnt packed anything club like.. not that I own much "club attire" Anyways, so I had to go pick up Vanessa and since of course I ALWAYS procrastinate I was running late. I didnt even have time to wash my hair. Which sucked because a humid night in Houston was torture on my hair. It was frizzy all night. Well we go there and I only had a few drinks, Vanesa didnt want to be home so late and I was driving. Overall, it was a fun night. Came home somewhat early and tried to get a good night sleep, since I had to hit the road first thing in the morning.
Only picture where you cant see my frizzy hair. Also... thats pineapple juice in my cup. lol
Well we went on our way the next day... Not morning.. we ended up leaving around 2 pm. lol We stayed at my uncle Erik's house which was awesome cuz I love my little cousin Leslie, but not so much because her mom is... whats the word.. strict? Lest leave it at that.. well Sarah's actual birthday was on Tuesday, March 15, but her party was not till the 19th.. that Saturday. But I had a huge day planned out that day. We were going to go to the Childrens Museum, the Zoo and Chuck E Cheese.
at the Childrens Museum.

My baby was so beautiful!<3
Of course like always, Sarah being just like her daddy!
The birthday party was a complete success! Well ok, not a lot of people showed up and I did spent a ton of money AND Brandon is in Kuwait, but I know that Sarah had a blast and thats the only thing that matters to me. Next year, Brandon and I decided that for her birthday we would go and have a blast in Disney Land! Just us three and I cant wait!  We also went to South Padre Island, which would of been awesome if there werent so many Spring Break Crazies! Literally took ups 2 hours just to get into the Island! But where we went the beach was so calm and free of drunk crazy college kids!
Also, cant forget... March 20, its my mans birthday... but it sucks because like I said earlier... hes in Kuwait being a hero for us and for this country.<3 I bought him a camera and some other goodies and sent them his way. This is one of the pictures he took with his new present. I miss him so much. This
month was a great month and made so many memories, but it really felt like I was missing some thing. Of course The camera was not the only thing that I got Brandon, since he was not able to spend spring break with us and missed the party I made him a awesome video. It was so fun to make and its also a little summery of what we all did the whole week. I used Brandon's favorite song. Its my kind of party, by Jason Aldean. Enjoy.

When My aunt posted this video I started to play it and it was an HOUR AND 16 MINUTES LONG! I was like no way! Im guna sit through this whole thing... but I did. AND I'm glad! At first I was a bit nervous and I though crap! I mean seriously, who didnt see this coming. I really thought that the apocalypse was going to be because of Zombie invasion! lol. But it seems as now, as the Gov. is guna be the cause of the demise of this country. I don't know if this is all true because I haven't researched any of it. But it did get me thinking, I need to start stocking up on water and food. Brandon's not home, and this kind of stuff makes me start thinking about how to keep my daughter and myself safe.

Genghis Grill

So, I went to this place called Genghis Grill. Its Mongolian Stir Fry, and it is AWESOME! I've only been there twice and both times have been too delicious for words. The thing that is awesome about this place is that they give you a bowl, its tiny, but basically you have to try to fit in as much food on that bowl as you can. You can choose from beef pork sausage shrimp calamari, scallops, even tofu! Add you own seasoning, and sauce (I usually get the Cajun seasoning and bbq sauce, makes it nice a spicy) Then add veggies, pretty much any you want. Then they ask you what kind of starch... I always get fried rice. Then they grill it for you and VIOLA! Deliciousness is a bowl:

Whats also awesome is that for only 12.99 its bottomless bowl. I went today and I went through twice and brought some home. Sarah Lynn loved veggies, so this place is perfect! She can eat from her bowl all by herself. Its perfect. I cant believe I never knew about this place till recently. OMG Ive been in Killeen for almost 3 years. But I will definatly be going more ofter. Olive Garden, I think someone has replaced you as favorite restaurant!

Lady Gaga

So this whole week Ive been Gaga Crazy!
I mean seriously, when am I not? Not really sure when this Lady Gaga obsession began... but man do I love that woman.
After I joined the Army in June of 2007, I got stationed in Korea for a year..[not complaining, I met my wonderful husband there...] and I like to think of it as time stopping for that whole year... I seriously DID NOT know what was going in the US that whole year. Didnt know what movies came out, music or anything like that.. The music I went to Korea with was what I listened that entire year, well maybe some country music my husband introduced me to also.. :]
Anyways.. I got back to the states in December of 2008 and  I guess Lady Gaga was already kind of a big deal I just didn't know it yet. The first time I heard a Lady Gaga song was Poker Face. I remember it because my husband Brandon was stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA and was visiting for the weekend. We were driving to dinner or something and I heard the song and I was nodding along. Brandon quickly said I HATE THIS SONG! He tried to change the station but I was like NO! Yeah I was pregnant at the time so I called the shots. Then he said, I hate this song cuz my aunt Julie always listened to it when I visited her. After that I didnt look her up or anything, and I just went on with my life. I just would listen to her music here and there. When her single Bad Romance from her new album was released I watched the music video and listened to the song for the first time. I have to admit I was completely shocked! I was so bizarre and I was like WHOA! See for your self!

See what I mean!!!

Nonetheless the beat was super catchy and I immediately LOVED it!
So then I started looking up her other stuff, all her music videos and I was surprised how much I loved it. See when I was growing up I listened to mostly Hispanic music, but when I was in High school I started to listen to alot of rock, heavy metal and stuff like that. I listened to stuff like Slipknot, AFI, Korn, Ill Nino, Linkin Park. I loved this kind of music, the noise sort of liberated me, and made me loose my self in it. There was this Mexican group called Belanova that I loved to listen to when I was in HS. They had this electro pop thing going on though, but I loved the main singer Denise's style.
I think thats the main reason I loved Lady Gaga. It reminded me of their style of music. Electro pop music was dead in the US and Lady Gaga birthed a new era or music. I still Love Belanova and their new album is awesome. But I dont think Denise has even an inch of talent that Lady Gaga has.

So Last year, around April I found out that Lady Gaga was coming to Houston to do a concert. I was ecstatic! The tickets went on sale that week and of course I bought 3. Yeah it cost me $600, but I sold the other 2 and brought my best friend Beatrice and her sister-in-law. I had to wait almost 4 months for the concert. It was terrible! I couldnt wait for the concert. Lady Gaga was growing as an artist and more and more I loved her. Finally the day came.... July 26 2010. The Concert was phenomenal! When it was done I was soo sad. We had front row seats and she is an amazing singer.

Waiting for the concert.
ABOVE: singing Just Dance BELOW: singing Love Game

I loved every second of that concert. It was so liberating. She said such inspirational words. I swear I laughed, I cried, I danced and I jumped around like I didnt care who was looking. It was a blast. Plus I had some drinks so I was buzzed and had a great time! Not only was she an amazing singer, shes a great performer. I was astonished at how creative she is! Her outfits, her show just everything!
So then in Sept. I hear she was coming to do one last show of the Monster Ball tour in TX. She was going to do the concert in April. Well of course, I bought tickets. Yes, I spend another $600 bucks, and YES, Brandon was pissed. The concert is in 2 months! and the wait has been sucky! She just released her new single Born this was last Friday and its already number one in more than 10 countries! The song is about being who you are and loving yourself because you were born this way.

Here's some of the Lyrics:
I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track baby
I was born this way

At first, I wasnt sure about this one. It felt almost as if it was aim directly at the LGBT community and I was like what about all your straight fans??? Then I listened carefully to the lyrics and heres more:

No matter gay, straight, or bi,
Lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or orient made
I'm on the right track baby
I was born to be brave

Obviously I love the song! Her performance at the Grammy's last Sunday was AMAZING!

Most likely, I will continue to support her, because she honestly does care about her fans!
Lady Gaga, Im your biggest fan I'll follow you until you love me!

Day Five- Favorite Quote

Day Four- Favorite Book

Im not sure when this obsession with Zombies began, but Im glad I found it. I love to watch zombie movies, read book, watch videos... anything and Im happy. This book was really good only because it tells you everything you need to know in case of a zombie attack. Not probable, but better be safe than sorry, right?

Day Three- Favorite Show

I have way to many favorite shows. The Office, Friends, Nip/Tuck, The Walking Dead, Law and Order SVU, and I can keep naming them all day. But the one show that truly BLEW my mind away I have to say was
I mean seriously, this show was out of this world. A lot of people would disagree, and Ill be the first to say that if you're not into sci-fi kind of stuff then steer away. Im serious. This show is so unrealistic. But its soooo good. I was a little sketchy about watching it I always heard good things and I watched the Emmy's this year they had a special about how this year the series ended so I gave it a chance. Besides it was on Instantly Watch on Netflix. So I watched the first episode and I was HOOKED. I literally stayed up till like 4 am that night.
This is the kind of show that at the end of the episode it left you wanting more, so you had to watch the next episode. Realisticly, some of the "mysteries" never got solved till a few seasons later. But it was worth it! This picture of the Dharma Initiative food was hilarious! They had everything, it was too funny. Had to post it.

Yeah there were a lot of crazy things going on. This cartoon mocks the black smoke but it was so funny because at one point I was scared of the ominous creepy music. I havent seen the ending yet thought. Ive only seen a few episodes of the last season and IM DYING to find out how it ends. I have read in other blogs that its not very good. I hope Im not disappointed. I seriously invested WAAAAY to much time into this show. I love this show even if some questions were never answered!!!!
